Century 21 Selmar > Agent Support > New Agents
Start Right
The first six months takes the agent through a series of modules designed to lay a strong theoretical and practical foundation, while drawing out their unique strengths and abilities. Under the guidance of a mentor agent, agents apply what they have learned through the learning modules at their own pace and acquire the necessary foundation on which to build their careers. “The diversity of opportunity that our business offers is truly amazing. Whether its selling land, commercial, residential or even luxury and international properties, it’s always inspiring to watch a new agent enter the business and gravitate toward an area that excites them - uncovering all the benefits and rewards that our business has to offer on the way.”
Start with Confidence The first few months in real estate can be the most uncomfortable time for new agents, as they adjust to the industry and begin to build job specific skills. Although new agents can come to us with specialized and often substantial prior job and personal experience, it is not uncommon for them to feel like a ‘fish out of water’ during this acclimation phase. We know that strong skills mean greater confidence and more confident agents are more easily and effectively able to leverage their innate talents and qualities. With this in mind, Start Right was designed to identify an incoming agent’s existing strengths and incorporate them into the training. As agents progress, we are able to highlight and draw out areas in which they are most competent and familiar and apply that knowledge to the curriculum. While reinforcing basic real estate principles, agents leverage existing professional expertise in a safe, encouraging learning environment. This builds confidence through the initial training period, accelerating and flattening the learning curve.
Your Mentor Agent
With access to a mentor and the support team, new agents are able to draw from the knowledge and experience of agents and managers who have been in the industry for more than 20 years. They spend less time “learning” and more time absorbing knowledge. |
